Halving

Halving, refers to a predetermined reduction in the rate at which new units of a particular cryptocurrency are generated or mined. This process occurs at regular intervals and is coded into the protocol of certain cryptocurrencies to control the overall supply and manage inflation. The most well-known example of halving is in Bitcoin, the pioneering cryptocurrency.
